Tessa Blanchard was released from Impact Wrestling as their World Champion. The 25-year-old 3rd generation pro wrestler has a lot of options, including WWE.

It was previously thought that Blanchard and WWE would be a perfect fit. The company reportedly had feelers out to her as soon as she was released. Recent rumors say that people are “chewing” Vince McMahon’s ear off backstage for him to hire Tessa.

Ringside News has learned that nobody is chewing Vince McMahon’s ear off about signing Blanchard. Right now nobody is speaking up to Vince McMahon backstage.

A writer with knowledge of the situation did inform us that Paul Levesque “has open communication with” Blanchard. She is talking to WWE, but it’s unclear exactly how far along those talks are.

Blanchard stayed in Mexico instead of taking a trip to Impact Wrestling’s television tapings to represent the company as champion. It’s unknown how far along the two sides are in terms of talks. There is also no word on whether Blanchard would be going to NXT first.
