Excalibur was not featured on AEW Dynamite this week. A lot of people paid attention to this fact because it happened one day after videos of him using the N-Word went viral. These videos were around for a while, but they really picked up steam on Tuesday night.

The AEW announcer was not on Dynamite. There was radio silence from the company regarding his current status. Some in the company didn’t even know if he would be on next week’s Dynamite which taped yesterday.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote that although it’s not confirmed, there is a story going around that Excalibur requested to be taken off Dynamite.

The story, again, not confirmed, was that he didn’t want to be on the show thinking it would be the focus of the show. As it turns out, it became a much bigger issue because he wasn’t on the show. There is no word if he’ll be back next week.

AEW generally addresses issues like this for their fans. They did so with Sammy Guevara and Jimmy Havoc. There could be an investigation going on, but these videos are pretty clear, and it was also done in a pro wrestling setting.

It was also reported that as soon as the segments happened years ago, they knew that it was a bad decision. It caught up to Excalibur years later. It is also worth noting that Kevin Owens was featured in one of the videos dropping the N-Bomb. Neither WWE nor Owens have commented.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
