Rusev has revealed that he tested positive for coronavirus. He made this disclosure while on his Twitch live stream.

The former WWE Superstar stated that he is “absolutely positive for COVID-19.” He confirmed that he also got a phone call from his doctor to confirm this.

“I’m absolutely positive for COVID-19. I’m absolutely, one-hundred percent, super, mega, incredibly positive. Yes, I got a phone call from the doctor.”

This news comes following Lana revealing that both of her parents have coronavirus as well. She provided health update for them, and they seem to be doing better, but not out of the woods yet.

It was not confirmed, but one would imagine that Lana won’t be permitted in the next round of WWE television tapings. Typically any exposure to COVID-19 is enough to keep someone out of the Performance Center.

Hopefully, Rusev is able to do whatever he needs so he can fight this awful virus. This comes at a terrible time for him especially as his WWE non-compete clause expires on July 18th.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
