WWE is set to make a big announcement about NXT UK sometime very soon. There is a conference call with the entire roster and plenty of people are speculating about what that announcement will be.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WALTER is on a guaranteed contract. That being said, if WWE decides to cut the NXT UK brand he’ll likely still get paid. The biggest problem with WALTER is he has already made it very clear that he’s not moving to America.

“He’s not coming to this country full time. I mean, that’s his deal. They want him in this country. They want him to come to the main roster. He can’t come now anyway, but the point is that he didn’t. His thing is he wants to be — he might come over here on weekends, but he’s not coming over here every single week. That was the deal that he insisted on when they signed him. They wanted him bad. They didn’t want any stone unturned about anyone who can go to AEW.”

We’ll have to see what WWE’s big announcement is for the NXT UK brand. That United Kingdom branch of NXT hasn’t been able to work in a while. There is also an issue with numerous allegations of abuse within their roster.

This is a very interesting time for the NXT UK brand. Don’t expect to see WALTER make a move to the United States no matter what happens.
