WWE has yet to have one of their wrestlers test positive for the novel coronavirus until now. The company has confirmed a positive test in the NXT roster. Now they are taking action.

The name of this individual was not mentioned, but the company did release a pubic statement on the matter. The positive rest was discovered on June 9th, and nobody else has exhibited symptoms.

This talent tested positive for COVID-19 which means everyone will be immediately tested as well. WWE explained this in a statement on the matter:

“A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19. Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms. However, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company’s performers and staff, all talent, production crew and employees on site at the training and production facilities will be tested for COVID-19 immediately. Following the test results, WWE plans to proceed with its normal television production schedule.”

Hopefully, WWE won’t find any more positive coronavirus results. It could really change a lot of things if that were the case.

AEW has tested their staff and wrestlers several times. Jim Ross noted he was tested four times in May. This marks the first time that WWE is administering actual COVID-19 testing.
