AEW is testing for the novel coronavirus which makes them the only pro wrestling company currently conducting actual COVID-19 testing.
Jim Ross stayed in Oklahoma for a few weeks when the COVID-19 pandemic started, but he eventually made his way to Jacksonville for the tapings. Then he stayed in the area to minimize travel.
During Grilling JR, he revealed that AEW gave him at least 4 COVID-19 tests that he can remember in the month of May. He also discussed All Elite Wrestling’s strict regiment to ensure that they stay safe from the novel coronavirus.
“I think I was tested at least 4 times that I can recall for the month of May for the [coronavirus]. That’s how we’re doing it everyone who passes through the gates at Daily’s Place is clean. They’ve got their tests. They’ve had blood work done, they’ve had their temperatures taken and every time we go through those gates our temperature is taken. The crew, the wrestlers, everybody.”
Jim Ross said that AEW has “their system down.” They aren’t taking any chances with COVID-19. All of that constant testing might be a lot of work as well, but it is worth it to know that they are doing things as safely as possible.
