WWE has five brands with full rosters, but the two “main roster” brands are very different. They are mostly comprised of Superstars who are in different phases of their careers.

Raw seems full of younger talent whereas the SmackDown side has a plethora of established Superstars. There is an obvious difference in the two main WWE rosters, but there is a reason for that.

Ringside News was told by a source in the company that “SmackDown doesn’t build stars.” Instead, “it relies on star power.” On the other hand, Raw doesn’t rely on simply star power as they build new stars.

Matt Riddle’s arrival on SmackDown does give SmackDown the opportunity to build the Original Bro as a top star. Ringside News exclusively reported that they were still deciding what they want to do with him upon his debut.

Ringside News also exclusively reported that the heat on Matt Riddle might not be as bad as people are led to believe as well.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
