Tessa Blanchard is Impact World Champion, and she is in the middle of a historic reign at that. Blanchard is the first woman to hold a major championship in a nationally televised promotion. Unfortunately, she is unable to make it to work.

Impact Wrestling had television tapings this week in Nashville. They laid down the next several weeks’ worth of programming, but they were missing their champion. PW Insider reports that Tessa Blanchard was unable to make the tapings.

Blanchard was in Mexico when the travel ban hit. The COVID-19 pandemic left a few pro wrestling stars stuck at home outside of the USA and unable to make it back.

The travel ban is loosening for athletes who are a part of major companies. WWE and AEW could see some important returns in the next few weeks as stars are able to travel freely once again. We’re hopeful that Tessa Blanchard is able to make it back to work soon.
