Taynara Conti was part of WWE’s releases on April 15th. She remembers that day well as she did not expect the news. She wishes WWE would have released her sooner in retrospect.

Conti spoke to Ring The Belle and she discussed being passed over for opportunities. She stated that there were no requests for title shots or TakeOver matches. She just wanted to wrestle and learn, but WWE kept bringing in women with experience who continually received the spot Conti wanted.

“I asked them ‘what about me?’ and they were like ‘well, there’s people coming with more experience, they have wrestling backgrounds of ten years.’ In my mind, I was like, if you keep signing people who have like ten years of experience and you don’t use me, why do you sign people that don’t come from pro wrestling?”

Conti stated that she wasn’t expecting her WWE release at all. She called it a “bad moment” and there were tears. Now she is excited to learn about the indies. She has no experience working the independent scene, but Taynara Conti is willing to learn.

“I was not expecting it at all. I was training, I was doing live events,” Conti explained. “When I got the call, not gonna lie … what a bad moment. I was feeling so bad, so bad. I got the call and I was by myself at home and I was just crying.”

There were issues between Taynara Conti and WWE NXT months ago. It was reportedly over pay. She was said to have walked out of the WWE Performance Center, and her locker was then cleaned out.

Now Taynara Conti wishes WWE would have let her go sooner. Her life has halted while waiting for the world to open up again.

“I’m not able to do anything right now,” she said. “I’m getting kind of crazy because I’m at home doing nothing. Why didn’t they give me my release a couple of months before? Because then I would be able to do something.”

“I don’t know much about indies or or other companies. It’s kind of new for me. But I know I can learn, and that’s exciting.”

We’ll have to see what Taynara Conti does next. She is young and was just starting to hone her craft as a pro wrestler. Perhaps she’ll have a lot of success on the indies and we’ll see her again very soon.
