Drew Gulak is no longer a WWE Superstar after his contract expired this week. His match against Daniel Bryan was his final appearance in the company. What went wrong?

Gulak and WWE were trying to work out a deal, but they couldn’t see eye-to-eye with money. Since they couldn’t come to a resolution in terms of compensation, the deal fell apart.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE isn’t giving raises right now. It just came down to a matter of poor timing as the company has no extra money to pay Gulak more, so he left.

Since Drew Gulak’s WWE contract expired like this there is no non-compete clause. He could theoretically work where ever he wants as soon as possible. We’ll have to see where he lands after this.
