WWE had to lay off a considerable amount of people in the company this week. It was a very sad day for everyone involved and April 15th, 2020 will forever be known as far more than just a tax day in WWE.

During the Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast, Brad Shepard said some in the company are now referring to last Wednesday as “Black Wednesday.” A lot of people lost their jobs across the entire company so the name is appropriate.

We’ll have to see if more lay-offs are down the line. Obviously, WWE would want to avoid that after the backlash they received over this round of firings.
