Charlotte Flair won the NXT Title from Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 36 in a match that could have gone either way. Ric Flair was watching from home and he was very proud of his daughter.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Ric Flair was asked if he spoke to Charlotte Flair before her big match. Flair admitted that he didn’t even know when his daughter was wrestling.

The Nature Boy stayed away from her, and he didn’t even ask about it. He also didn’t want her telling him that this was information she couldn’t divulge to her two-time WWE Hall Of Fame father.

“Absolutely not. I didn’t even know what day she was wrestling. I stayed as far away from her as possible and didn’t even ask her anything. Because No. 1, I didn’t want her to say, ‘I can’t tell you’ which would have pissed me off [laughs].

“I’m really gonna give everybody their due as nobody knew what was going on, and I loved that. I predicted that someone would open their mouth and no one did. Dave Meltzer must have been pulling his hair out trying to get someone to talk [laughs].”

Ric Flair know a lot about the pro wrestling business and can offer tons of advice. He also understood the unique situation surrounding this match. The heartfelt video Ric Flair released urging everyone to stay at home due to the novel coronavirus should prove that.
