Roman Reigns decided not to work WrestleMania due to his compromised immune system and the growing threat of the novel coronavirus. Nobody is faulting Roman Reigns on this end, but there could be some tension backstage in WWE.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he got a strange vibe from the way WWE didn’t mention Roman Reigns at all during WrestleMania 36. Braun Strowman was just announced for the Universal Title match against Goldberg and then the Monster Among Men won.

“Maybe they’re mad at him and they have no right to be. It’s either they’re mad at him or they’re just trying to hide it as much as they can and they don’t want to deal with it.”

This is a tricky situation and we’ll just have to see how everything pans out. Roman Reigns made a comment about knowing how he wants to be treated during his video explanation of why he pulled out of WrestleMania 36. It’s hard to fault Roman Reigns for deciding to think about his health instead, but Vince McMahon is notorious for living in his own WWE bubble.
