The XFL relaunch kicked off this weekend and a new set of rules was introduced. Some people complained about the new kickoff rule, but King Corbin is a fan.

The new kickoff rule in the XFL is: “Kickoffs will be from the 30 yard line. The blocking teams will line up at the receiving team’s 35 and 30 yard lines. Only the kicker and the returner are allowed to move until the ball is caught, or they have to wait three seconds after it hits the ground. Any ball that bounces out of bounds will go to the 45 yard line. They want to take away fair catches and touch-backs.”

Fresh of his Chiefs’ big Super Bowl win, King Corbin settled in to enjoy some XFL football. The 2019 King Of The Ring winner said he loved the new rule because it keeps the game different.

I actually love the way the XFL is doing the kickoff. It’s different and keeps it in the game.

We’ll have to see how things pan out with the ratings. The XFL started out with sold-out game so they seem to be off to a good start.
