WWE Continues With New NXT Tag Team

WWE is a place that makes some Superstars very happy. Others might want to leave. Mike Kanellis requested his WWE release just weeks after signing a new five-year contract. They didn’t let him go.

Kanellis showed up at an NXT event recently where he returned to the ring and teamed with Tony Nese. It appears that WWE is carrying on with that plan.

Nese and Kanellis teamed up at Friday’s NXT live even in Citrus Springs. They defeated Shane Thorne and Daniel Vidot. It appears that Nese and Kanellis are going to stick together as a tag team for now.

The new team won their match with a knee strike/powerslam move. Maria Kanellis has not returned to television yet because she is still very pregnant with the couple’s second child.
