Randy Orton apparently saw all the panic online about his health — and decided to troll everybody instead.
After a new report claimed Orton has been sidelined with a major lingering back injury that nearly ended his career in the past, “The Viper” jumped onto social media with a sarcastic message basically telling fans to relax while he enjoys his summer.
“Lmao just milking it guys, leave me alone I’m trying to enjoy my summer before I come back and take that #15”
The tweet came shortly after Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Orton’s current WWE absence is tied to a “significant” back injury that has reportedly been bothering him for years.
According to Meltzer, the injury is the same issue that once pushed Orton dangerously close to retirement before eventually returning to WWE television.
The timing of the report also raised eyebrows because WWE recently started advertising Orton for the May 29 episode of SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain. That immediately sparked rumors that WWE was gearing up for Orton’s return heading into Clash in Italy.
Orton has been completely absent from WWE television since WrestleMania 42, where he lost to Cody Rhodes before snapping after the match and taking Rhodes out with a brutal attack to end the show.
Now fans are left trying to figure out whether Orton is genuinely downplaying the injury situation — or simply doing what Randy Orton does best and messing with everyone online.
Do you think Randy Orton is seriously fine, or is he trying to laugh off a much bigger injury situation? Drop your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
