WWE Looking To Put Mike Kanellis In NXT Tag Team

Mike Kanellis asked for his WWE release, but the company didn’t give it to him. Now he is working on something in NXT.

We previously reported that Mike Kanellis returned to action at an NXT event last night. PW Insider reports that they were trying Mike Kanellis out in a new tag team with Tony Nese.

Tony Nese and Mike Kanellis were teaming on this weekend’s WWE NXT live events as a test run for a potential team that could be used regularly on WWE NXT TV

Last night’s Melbourne, Florida event was a tryout. They defeated Nick Ogarelli and Mohamed. This did mark Kanellis’ first match since publicly asking for his WWE release.
