Jim Cornette was perfect in his role as commentator for NWA Powerrr, but he just couldn’t keep from offending people. After he uttered racially insensitive remark, a storm of controversy started which caused NWA to pull the episode and edit it.

Cornette resigned from his position in the NWA the next day. Then he responded to this news with a very brief statement on his Instagram profile.

Yes, it is true that I have resigned from the NWA. I understand in people’s point of views that my comments were not pleasing and I apologize.

Jim Cornette will likely speak about this subject at much greater length on his podcasts. In the meantime, this seems like the best apology that we’re going to get from him right now.
