Cain Velasquez entered WWE with a lot of momentum behind him after leaving a prosperous UFC career. He also needed surgery and wrestled with a brace on his knee.

Cain Velasquez and Rey Mysterio were set to team up at the November 30th WWE live event in Mexico City. Now that match is not happening. They still eventually want the tag team titles.

Velasquez is still scheduled to appear at the show, but he is no longer listed in a match. It was not confirmed that Velasquez’s knee is the issue, but that is the thinking. There is reason why his match against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel was under a minute long.

Hopefully, Cain Velasquez can heal up quickly and get back to action. He was reportedly considering stem cell treatments to avoid surgery so we’ll just have to see what he decides to do.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
