Renee Young Talks Possibly Having CM Punk On WWE Backstage

WWE Backstage is set to debut this week on FS1. We have received two preview episodes, but so far CM Punk hasn’t been seen.

Renee Young recently spoke to the SI Media podcast where CM Punk was mentioned. She would love to work with him. Punk might me the polarizing figure needed to really boost interest for the new show.

“I would love to work with Punk. He’s one of the most polarizing and popular figures in WWE history. For him to step back into that world just makes wrestling fans go bonkers. It would be really cool,”

CM Punk did audition for role on the new Fox show, but he said he hasn’t heard anything about it. We’ll have to wait and see if there is a big surprise coming since he did tease having some reason to hold Fox Sports microphone recently.
