SmackDown Live was a real cluster this week, but apparently, things were much worse than we first thought.

Vince McMahon called his writing team up on Tuesday morning and ordered that they re-write the SmackDown Live script for that night. He didn’t think it followed-up with the previous week and built toward Summerslam. So he had it changed.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon was actually making changes to the second hour of the SmackDown show while the first hour was playing out live on the USA Network. This could explain for some of the more questionable choices.

We will have to wait and see how this trend carries on. It might be a very good idea to not let this kind of thing happen once WWE moves the blue brand to Fox because they might not appreciate paying $1 billion for five years of a show that is being written on the fly.
