There is a new pro wrestling war starting in 2019 nearly twenty years after the last one ended. Now AEW has television time on TNT and wants to provide an alternative to WWE. Vince McMahon doesn’t like that at all.

We previously reported that Booker T pulled out of AEW All Out. This was reportedly done because Booker finally realized how real the war is between AEW and WWE and he wants no part in it.

Dave Meltzer reports that WWE is expected to pull even more counter measures against AEW shortly. It’s anyone’s guess what this could mean.

“I’ve been told to expect another major counter by WWE shortly.”

WWE already booked EVOLVE 131 on the WWE Network on the same night as Fight For The Fallen. AEW was already going to have a big task to undertake with Fight For The Fallen on July 13th because WWE has a chance to counter on the next night with Extreme Rules.

Only time will tell what Vince McMahon and his company will think of next. There are a lot of things they could try to slow down AEW’s momentum, especially with minds like Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman in such high positions of authority backstage now.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
