Lio Rush’s Current WWE Status

Lio Rush hasn’t been seen since he was pulled from WWE television. He no longer follows Bobby Lashley around as his hypeman. However, he is even more active on social media.

Rush was removed from the road after some nuclear backstage heat was caused. This was not good thing at all as he was already on thin ice. Although there were some rumors about doing a hard reset on his character it appears WWE just isn’t using him at all.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that nobody is talking about Lio Rush in creative. He simply isn’t being used. At this point Rush has also removed all mentions of WWE from his social media and he added a section where he is taking dates.

Lio Rush is still under WWE contract so he might very well be a case of someone that they are going to keep on their payroll just because they can. However, Rush is very young and talented. Hopefully, if he’s given some time WWE will give him another chance.
