Fans have differing opinions about what is good and bad. Sometimes those thoughts can directly go against how Vince McMahon feels about things. Because WWE is famously crafted to cater only to what McMahon wants to see.

The opening segment of RAW this week saw Roman Reigns come out and verbally berate Brock Lesnar before Shane McMahon came out. Drew McIntyre soon followed and they had a back and forth to hype their eventual six-man tag team match.

Some fans might have viewed this segment as typical WWE programming, but Vince McMahon apparently approved in a big way.

Sean Sapp said on Fightful’s post RAW show that: “By the way I’m told that Vince McMahon liked the opening segment an awful lot tonight.”

This is the kind of thing that Vince McMahon likes to see. There was some progression in the storylines and a match for Stomping Grounds was apparently announced within this as well. McMahon approved and that’s all that really should matter.

Let’s just see if the ratings agree with The Chairman of WWE.
