Lio Rush has been having some issues backstage and he could be on his way to a different roster. Then again, WWE could just bench him entirely if that is what they choose to do.
Brad Shepard said on Oh, You Didn’t Know that WWE is currently “holding Lio Rush hostage” more or less due to his backstage heat. This could mean that they just intend on keeping him under contract so he can’t go anywhere, but they just won’t use him.
“There have been some reports on Lio Rush and Lio Rush has made some changes to his social media removing ‘WWE Superstar’ from his Instagram profile. He posted an Instagram picture of himself in his hotel room watching Impractical Jokers and so I got an update on Lio Rush that I wanna share.”
“WWE is more or less holding Lio Rush hostage to punish him for what they perceived as bad behavior. The stories other outlets have reported about him are generally true. I’m told [WWE] is done with what they perceive as his ego.”
We have heard reports that Lio Rush could be headed to NXT or even back to 205 Live. This is a very interesting development to consider that WWE might just keep him to do nothing.
Only time will tell how this situation pans out. Lio Rush explained very clearly to Ringside News that he wasn’t sent home by WWE. However, he was still on a jet the next morning according to his Instagram profile.
Lio Rush could fit into many different areas in WWE. He could be a hypeman, wrestler, and even a commentator. Given time Lio Rush might even be able to help coach as well. There seem to be some issues and whatever the problem is The Man Of The Hour might find himself on television way less than he expected to in 2019.
