Following his hard-fought victory over AJ Styles at WWE Backlash France, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes wasted no time basking in his triumph as the next challenge swiftly emerged on the horizon.

This week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with General Manager Nick Aldis introducing Rhodes to his next challenger for the WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE event in Saudi Arabia, none other than the reigning WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul.

As the two champions stood face to face in the ring, tensions escalated with Paul launching into a verbal assault, attempting to assert his dominance over Rhodes. This led to Cody calling him out for his egoism and manipulative tactics to retain his title. Moreover, both men are once again set to meet each other next week on SmackDown for the official contract signing for their match.

However, a while after their intense confrontation, Logan Paul took to his X reminiscing on his old ‘We Want Cody’ tweet he did on the road to WrestleMania 40 voicing support for Rhodes to get an opportunity to Finish the Story, as a way to establish that he always gets what he desires for.
