The Undertaker is likely not going to be at WrestleMania in the way WWE would have liked, if he shows up at all. This was a decision that surprised some within the company, but he will be working the Saudi Arabia event in May.

Dave Meltzer addressed The Undertaker’s decision to work the KSA show and not WrestleMania during Wrestling Observer Radio. The Undertaker said he wanted to work smarter schedule this year and it seems that this is a part of that plan.

“He’s going to be wrestling in Saudi Arabia this year — he’s coming back. You know I guess that money was just too big to turn down and I get it. That’s why he’s doing everything that he’s doing and god bless him. He worked really, really hard for decades to build a name and to he kept his mystique which is pretty hard to do in this business.”

The Undertaker has worked really hard as a full-time Superstar in a day and age before WWE pulled Superstars off the road for nagging injuries. He deserves the time off and to make as much cash as possible. It might be disappointing not to see The Undertaker work WrestleMania this year, but it is already going to be a very loaded card.
