The Undertaker Talks Picking & Choosing His WWE Dates – Wants To Be Smarter This Year

The Undertaker is a shoo-in for the WWE Hall Of Fame and he spent many years working a full-time schedule for the company. This is not the case anymore because at 53-years-old, Mark Calaway can’t perform as often as he once did.

While speaking to pastor Ed Young, he revealed the kind of schedule he found himself working in 2018 during the time of WWE’s Super Show-Down and WWE Crown Jewel. He hopes to be able to have a “smarter” schedule this year.

“Right now my schedule — obviously, I’ve been around for a while so I’ve got a little sweat and blood equity built up so I get to pick and choose where I want to go and when I want to go.”

“For some reason I kind of lost my mind and thought that I was a young twenty-year-old again and I’ll give you a typical… this one month so we Monday Night Raw. I fly from Austin Texas to Seattle Washington and it was on Monday. On Tuesday, I flew from Seattle to Austin. On Wednesday I got up and flew from Austin to LA and then LA to Melbourne. So I landed in Australia on Friday, I wrestled on Saturday, I flew home on Sunday. I figured it out that I was actually in air longer than I was in country getting there and back.”

He worked a few more events in a very short time before finally going to Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel. “Crazy deal,” he said. That is something he doesn’t sound like he is game to do very often anymore. “Hopefully I’m a little smarter this year with what I do because those weren’t really fun.”

The Undertaker is still not scheduled for a WreslteMania match, but don’t count The Dead Man out. His Starrcast appearance has really worried some, but don’t expect him to be wrestling full-time for anyone again.
