Tommaso Ciampa Says A Piece Of Him Died When Relinquishing The NXT Title

Tommaso Ciampa worked hard to reach the peak of NXT and become their top champion. He loved being the NXT Champion and even gave the title its own name. Now Ciampa and Goldy had to separate after he suffered neck injury that required surgery.

Cimapa had to relinquish his NXT Title on tonight’s episode of the show. This was a very hard moment for him to go through and he later commented that a small piece of him died when he had to say goodbye to Goldy.

Perhaps Tommaso Ciampa will return to NXT and reclaim his title once his neck is fully healed. It is likely that he could continue on the main roster since he was just recently called up before his injury caused him to be pulled from the road. We will have to wait and see, but it doesn’t change how hard it was to give up the NXT Title without actually losing it.
