Kurt Angle’s WWE Royal Rumble Status

Kurt Angle is a WWE Hall Of Famer, but that doesn’t guarantee that he will be coming back to television even if WWE still has him under contract. With the Royal Rumble coming very close it doesn’t seem like Angle is in the plans.

Although things can always change, Mike Johnson reported on PW Insider Elite audio that Angle is not in Phoenix for the Royal Rumble.

“No sign yet of Kurt Angle, that’s someone we’ve gotten a lot of emails about especially in the last 24 hours. He did work a house show a couple of weeks ago with Baron Corbin, but we have not heard any definitive word on Kurt Angle and no one I’ve spoken to have seen him yet.”

Kurt Angle’s match in San Antonio wasn’t reportedly on par with what Angle’s performance should be. In fact, it was said to be disappointing after the initial shock of his appearance wore off. Perhaps WWE will fly Angle in for a big Royal Rumble surprise. He isn’t in Phoenix yet though.
