WWE is able to feature plenty of Superstars on their programming, but Vince McMahon has never been big fan of tag team wrestling. This directly contributes to the lack of focus the tag team division receives on a regular basis.

The Revival requested their WWE release on Monday this week as first reported by Bodyslam.net. Since then plenty of people have spoken their piece on the situation, but it seems like we have more information on the topic.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that The Revival was unhappy with WWE and were frustrated by the lack of promos and backstage segments they were given. The fact that their match on Raw this week was used as cut-away segment for people lined up outside of Vince McMahon’s office looking for a Universal Title shot was just another example of disrespect. They were also very unsatisfied with the current WWE tag team division so the frustration wasn’t just for themselves.

The underutlization of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows along with others such as The Authors Of Pain were given as examples of things that frustrated them. It is said that things “boiled over” during Raw after Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, who are the current Raw Tag Team Champions weren’t even featured on the show.

It is reported that The Revival’s request for a WWE release is currently denied, but we weren’t expecting WWE to let them go. If anything, this could result in push for The Top guys on Raw.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
