Brock Lesnar will defend the WWE Universal Title against Braun Strowman at January 27th’s Royal Rumble event in Phoenix Arizona. This is a monster-sized title match, but apparently, WWE doesn’t know which direction they’re going with it.

Joe Peisich reported on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred Podcast that WWE is currently still weighing the options on which way to go following their big event at Chase Field.

“Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman, you saw the confrontation on RAW tonight. They don’t know what direction they’re going to yet. Could Braun Strowman win the title or could Brock Lesnar keep the title heading into WrestleMania? They don’t know what direction they’re going into yet. So a lot of things are up in the air with WrestleMania and with the Royal Rumble and with WWE.”

It is very interesting to think that Brock Lesnar might drop his WWE Universal Title to Braun Strowman, especially after The Monster Among Men forgot his lines on Monday night. Crazier things have happened and defeating Lesnar would certainly be a big launching pad for Strowman to carry on as champion if they went that direction
