Why WWE Is Taking Steam Off Drew McIntyre’s Push

Drew McIntyre is earmarked for a big push in WWE, but he hasn’t done too well in the past few weeks. Finn Balor has come out of the situation looking great instead.

Bryan Alvarez asked Dave Meltzer why this is the case during Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer’s response was simple, but it could reflect WWE’s future plans to kick the heat back up in January.

“This month is for Finn, next month is for Drew. No months are for Ziggler, probably.”

Drew McIntyre’s push is coming. He was placed on the official RAW graphic when Roman Reigns was taken off, so that’s a pretty notable deal that they had to decide on. His big rise to the top will probably just have to wait until 2019.
