Canyon Ceman was released from WWE after it was previously reported that he was let go, but WWE denied it. Many fans were a bit shocked to see Ceman released, but that is only one of the many changes that the company has made in recent memory.

Fightful Select reports that “Canyon Ceman had plenty of heat within WWE and the Performance Center.” This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise since he is in talent relations, but his firing was very alarming to many around NXT. It was a sign that the company is going through this change.

It was also reported that some names at recent tryouts were passed on after they were thought to be “slam dunks” for new recruits.

When it became clear that Ceman was on his way out, there were a lot of concerns about what direction NXT’s hiring was going. There were also some names passed on at recent tryouts that people in NXT thought were going to be a slam dunk, that a couple of wrestlers claim were red flags.

WWE has already filled Canyon Ceman’s empty position, but there are still many changes to come. Reports are that WWE is looking to trim anyone from NXT who is shorter and over the age of thirty. Needless to say, a lot of people are pretty worried right now, especially the women on the roster. Johnny Ace’s return to talent relations wasn’t the best news for some on the roster.
