After Vince McMahon’s indefinite medical leave was announced, it appears that a storyline that was previously put on hold has been rekindled under the guidance of Triple H. This angle surfaced this week on RAW with a simple backstage interaction.

In June, there were hints about JD McDonagh’s involvement in the Judgment Day storyline; however, he abruptly vanished from television. WRKD Wrestling reported that plans for his participation had been temporarily suspended.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, JD McDonagh made a return, making an appearance backstage alongside Finn Balor. As Damian Priest approached to discuss matters related to “Judgment Day,” Balor indicated his longstanding familiarity with McDonagh for over two decades, implying that any discussion involving Priest could involve McDonagh as well.

During their attempt to address recent tensions within Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley intervened to advocate for unity. Meanwhile, JD McDonagh offered unsolicited advice, pointing out the escalating tensions between Finn and Damian since Damian became the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase. He suggested it was time to part with it, as the segment neared its conclusion.

In response to this, Damian Priest questioned why JD McDonagh was even speaking. Later on, McDonagh was seen backstage assaulting Sami Zayn, a member of the three-man team slated to face Judgment Day in the evening’s main event.

As the storyline gains momentum under Triple H’s supervision, the reappearance of JD McDonagh adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing drama surrounding Judgment Day and its intricate dynamics.
