WWE Royal Rumble Participant Announced During New Year’s Eve RAW

WWE filmed their New Year’s Eve RAW in Detroit tonight. If you’d like full spoilers, you can get those here.

The Royal Rumble is WWE’s next big stop and they announced one official Royal Rumble match participant on tonight’s show.

There will be two 30-person Royal Rumble matches this year like last year one for the men and another for the women. They also highlighted very interesting rule. Therefore, WWE needs to fill some spots.

Typically, the people who announce that they’re going to be in the big match also have the best chance of winning as well.

It’s important to note that some announcements could be made backstage. Since this RAW is taped, they might record some of those as well.

Natalya announced that she will be in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Then Nia Jax beat her down backstage. We’re not sure if that means Jax is in it too, but she’s still not happy.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE’s initial WrestleMania plans involved Ronda Rousey vs Natalya. Those plans might have changed, but with Nattie in the Royal Rumble, anything is a possibility with the Queen Of Harts.
