Ring of Honor’s Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc for their WINCLY podcast, where he went into detail about the future of Superstars such as Matt & Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks), Cody [Rhodes], Hangman Page, and others.
These Superstars are arguably some of the company’s biggest- with several shows in recent memory most prominently featuring storylines from these competitors and their “Being The Elite” series that is available on YouTube.
Koff had the following to say, as it pertains to the future of the Bucks, Cody, Page and the others in ROH:

“I don’t think so, and I don’t think that’s new news either. They definitely have something in mind… and I’m very thankful for Cody and The Young Bucks and Page and their contributions to ROH.
“They were part of our great year. They’ll always be a part of the ROH family and I’m always excited when people choose to take a different direction or go in a different direction because it’s exciting for them as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.”

Koff also explained that ROH has provided a platform to launch the careers of many talented wrestlers across the spectrum.

“These guys are very good marketers and very strong. Throughout the years, we’ve provided wrestlers a unique platform to showcase their talents to worldwide audiences. We’re so proud of our wrestlers, who’ve not only gone on to successful careers outside of ROH but [also] the ones who have continued to stay here because they understand what ROH represents.”

On the possibility of Cody capturing the ROH World Championship from Jay Lethal at Final Battle, Koff says they’d have to cross that bridge and deal with it if that does happen.

“If he does it, then we’ll have to deal with it. I think Jay’s a formidable competitor. He’s been a great champion and I don’t think it will be a walk in the park for either. But as always, the best man will win and that speaks to itself.”

Do you think The Young Bucks, Cody, Hangman Page, and others will exclusively compete for this new proverbial promotion in 2019? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
