Ronda Rousey is the face of WWE even though some fans might like to think that title belongs to The Man, Becky Lynch who’s face was bloodied pretty badly after taking a shot from Nia Jax during the invasion of Raw this week (you can check out that footage here). Now it looks like Rousey vs Lynch is off of the Survivor Series card. But that just applies to Becky.
WWE will need to make it official, but it seems that Becky Lynch won’t be able to compete at Survivor Series due to suffering a broken nose and a possible concussion. Therefore, as Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live, the show must go on for Rousey.

“I don’t know if [Becky Lynch] is out of the match. I was told there is a change to the women’s match. That means she’s being replaced or they’re going to do a three-way to protect her. I don’t know what they’re going to do. But it does appear that a change has been made and [Lynch] may be off the show.

At this time, WWE is still waiting to find out what Becky Lynch’s diagnosis is, but it’s apparently more than they first thought and as we previously reported the thought was. Therefore, it’s likely WWE will have to shift things around but still keep Ronda Rousey in a match.

“So apparently at this exact moment they don’t know the full extent of Becky’s injuries but they are currently discussing a bunch of options with the presumption that she might be off the show Sunday.”

He went on to discuss the fact that Ronda Rousey is the face of WWE, especially after Roman Reigns’ departure due to leukemia. The fact that Survivor Series is taking place in Los Angeles makes it even more imperative that Ronda Rousey is on the show. It might not be ideal, but there are already rumors that they could always move Lynch vs Rousey to the Royal Rumble event. But it looks like WWE could have to figure something else out for Ronda Rousey to do this Sunday.
