Ronda Rousey vs Nikki Bella Reportedly Set To Main Event Evolution Pay-Per-View

Evolution will be a big event and apparently, WWE is going to be pulling out all the stops to get as much attention as possible. Ronda Rousey is a huge star in the company and now it looks like she could be in line for an even bigger match at Evolution.

Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is planning a main event for Evolution that will bring not only a ton of mainstream attention, but it will also give Rousey a dream match as she carries on with the beginning of her WWE career.

“So the plan for Ronda Rousey early in the week was Nikki Bella. They’re the two most famous women’s stars in the company and they should be the main event of the first women’s pay-per-view. They are the two best at getting mainstream attention and that was the idea.”

“There were other options batted around like everything, it could change tomorrow but that was the idea.”

It was also noted that they might even do an angle at SummerSlam to kick off the feud. Only time will tell what happens, but let’s hope Nikki’s neck is okay enough to take some bumps from Rousey.

This is very interesting especially considering the fact that Alexa Bliss is set to face Rousey for the Raw Women’s Title at SummerSlam. So one of the two matches, either Bliss vs Trish Stratus or Rousey vs Bella could very well be for the Raw Women’s Title. Meltzer also noted that he thinks Rousey will be the champion going into the main event of Evolution.
