Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada have battled before and Okada was victorious in every one-on-one encounter keeping his IWPG Heavyweight Championship. But when the two met at New Japan’s Dominion show they had a 2 out of 3 falls contest meaning a definite winner should be determined.

Kenny Omega and Okada have never disappointed before and their match at NJPW Dominion was a great third match in their outstanding series. Okada hit Omega with everything he had including a tombstone on the apron. Omega would come back with a series of moves including the Rise Of The Terminator dive to the outside that hit its mark.

But this back and forth match continued with one brutal spot after another until Okada scored the first pinfall about 30 minutes into the match.

Omega didn’t let losing the first fall slow him down because he kept coming at Okada with as much punishment as possible. After giving Okada one move after another he finally pinned the IWGP Heavyweight Champion after a One Winged Angel at around 50 minutes into the match to tie it up 1-1.

Okada hit a Rainmaker as soon as the 3rd fall started but he couldn’t make the cover. Okada came back with a Styles Clash which was very well received by everyone except Okada. After taking so much punishment, Okada was too exhausted to hit another Rainmaker and crumbled to the mat. He would try for another Rainmaker but Omega reversed it.

Finally, Kenny Omega nailed another One Winged Angel and secured the 3rd and final pinfall to become the new IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
