As previously reported, Rey Mysterio only suffered partially torn bicep while working for Northeast Wrestling this two Fridays ago in Connecticut.

Dave Meltzer discussed his status on the recent installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and mentioned that Mysterio is expected to miss some dates as a result of the injury. It’s unknown at this time if he will be missing the upcoming Long Beach show on March 25th but Meltzer believes he will be there.

“So Rey did not have a full tear. He has partial tear of his left bicep and he doesn’t need surgery. He is going to be missing some dates but I don’t know about Long Beach. I’m thinking because it’s such a big one that he will do that one but I don’t know that. I just know he’s going to be missing some dates because of the injury.”

As previously reported, the injury has not halted discussions with WWE and the two are scheduled to try to negotiate a deal soon.
