Zelina Vega already addressed her WWE release on her own terms—but now she’s stepping in to shut down a fake AI video about her departure.

After speaking openly about her release and what’s next, Zelina Vega took to Twitter to address a viral AI-generated clip that falsely claims to show her reacting emotionally to being let go.

The video circulating online portrays Vega saying her release was humiliating, that she had no warning, and that she felt embarrassed being listed publicly in the cuts — but according to her, none of that is real. She made that clear immediately, calling out the video and urging people not to believe it.

“There’s a weird AI video of me going around talking about my release. Don’t fall for this crap please. I appreciate the support in the comments of course ily guys so much but I didn’t say any of this.”

Vega also explained that she tried to get the video taken down but hasn’t had success so far, which only adds to the frustration of seeing it continue to spread.

“I tried reporting it but it didn’t work. But if you come across this video, IT IS FAKE”

This situation is far different from what Vega actually said after her release. In her real comments, she kept things measured — acknowledging the business side of WWE while also making it clear she has bigger plans beyond wrestling.

“I don’t hold any bad feelings—I understand business is business. However, business is business on my side as well. I don’t even think they expect what’s next. Wrestling isn’t the only screen you’ll see me on.

When people call me, usually from there it would say Stamford calling me, and that’s when your heart is like, ‘Oh f***.’ But this time it said TKO. 5:09 PM is when I found out, so yeah, that is the thing.

Did it come as a shock, or were there locker room whispers? It did come as a shock, honestly. I didn’t hear any whispers. But I guess I understand because it’s like, if you don’t book people, they don’t make you money. So there’s that. Not even like I was off TV all the time—I was off TV for a bit.”

The tone in the AI video, on the other hand, paints a completely different picture, which is exactly why she stepped in to correct it. So, Zelina Vega isn’t just dealing with a WWE exit right now. She’s also dealing with misinformation, and she’s making it clear she won’t let a fake narrative define her.

Do you think AI-generated videos like this are becoming a serious problem for wrestlers and public figures, or is this just something that comes with social media now? Let us know your thoughts.
