Zelina is back in the win column, and she didn’t waste any time making an impact in her first match since leaving WWE. The former Zelina Vega returned to the ring at House of Glory’s Fallout event on September 4 in Los Angeles and walked out with a victory.
Xelina faced Shayna Baszler and Brittnie Brooks in a three-way match and got the win in her House of Glory debut. During the match, she connected with a Code Red on Baszler before Brooks jumped back into the fight, but Xelina survived the chaos and ended the night with her hand raised. The match marked Xelina’s first time competing since her WWE exit earlier this year. Ringside News previously covered Xelina being announced for her first post-WWE match, which originally had her set to face Baszler before Brooks was added to the match.
Xelina was released by WWE during the company’s roster cuts and quickly made it clear she wasn’t planning to disappear from wrestling. She later revealed the new Xelina ring name as she started moving into the next chapter of her career outside WWE.
Fallout gave her the first chance to actually show what that next chapter looks like, and she made sure it started with a win. Sharing the ring with Baszler and Brooks wasn’t exactly an easy first night back either, but Xelina got the result she wanted.
Now her first post-WWE match is officially in the books, and so is her first victory. Xelina showed up under a new name, stepped into a new promotion and immediately started this part of her career with some momentum.
