Bronson Reed spent months getting himself ready to return to WWE, and the 45-pound difference was impossible to miss once he finally showed up. It turns out the people behind the scenes noticed it too.

According to a report by Fightful Select, it was noted that WWE sources were very happy with the condition Bronson Reed was in when he returned.

“WWE sources we spoke to were very happy with the condition Bronson Reed showed up in for his return.”

That reaction lines up with everything Reed has said about the work he put in while recovering from his biceps injury. Reed recently revealed that he didn’t simply focus on losing weight during his time away. He was lifting six times a week, doing cardio and trying to return as a better physical version of himself.

“Like, it’s not as, like, this is the harsh reality of what I did, is I didn’t just lose weight and become skinny fat like a lot of the neckbeards online that are talking about me. That’s right. I actually put in hard work and I was lifting six times a week. I’m doing my cardio. I’m doing everything I can to be the best version of myself.”

Reed dropped 45 pounds during that process, but he says that didn’t come at the expense of his size everywhere else. In fact, he claimed his arms actually grew during the transformation.

“Here’s the thing, here’s the thing. I lost 45 pounds, but I actually gained an inch in either arm. So I’m 20-inch…”

The dramatic weight loss naturally led to questions about whether his Tsunami would still hit the same way. Reed believes the opposite is true. With less weight to move around, he says he can now get higher and generate even more force coming down.

“I understand that. Like the mass of what I was landing on someone from 10 feet in the air, of course that’s gonna hurt anyone. Of course it’s gonna keep him down. But now I can accelerate it even more because I am lighter. I can jump higher, I can jump further, and I come down with even more force because I can pretty much propel myself better.”

Reed has already had a chance to show off that new version of himself since returning from his biceps injury. He came back at Sunday Night’s Main Event and attacked Oba Femi during his match against Bron Breakker, immediately throwing himself into the middle of The Vision’s problems with Oba.

The following night on RAW, The Vision overwhelmed Femi before Reed climbed to the top rope and repeatedly crushed him with Tsunamis. It was a pretty direct way of showing that WWE still sees Reed as the same wrecking ball despite there being considerably less of him.

Reed has already made it clear that he’s proud of the work he put into his transformation. Now the reaction backstage makes it clear WWE is just as pleased with what walked through the door when he came back.
