WWE is taking a closer look at some of South America’s wrestling talent while the company makes its way through the region.
A WWE tryout is set to take place in Santiago, Chile during the current tour, and several wrestlers have already confirmed they’ll be stepping through the door for a shot at getting noticed. Chilean wrestler Roma confirmed her involvement on social media on September 11, sharing her excitement about receiving the opportunity.

Roma won’t be alone. Wrestler Crush also confirmed involvement in the Santiago tryout, while Lucha Libre Online revealed several additional talents expected to participate.
According to the outlet, the confirmed names include Javi Star from Chile, Crush from Panama, Dylan Fabrizio from Chile, Roma from Chile, Allan Sales from Brazil, Ángel Del Toro from Argentina and Mirko from Argentina. Lucha Libre Online announced the group while making it clear even more wrestlers are expected to be involved.

The location carries some extra meaning for WWE considering Chile is the home country of former WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer is also part of WWE’s South American tour, putting one of the country’s biggest wrestling success stories right there as another group of Chilean and Latin American wrestlers tries to earn the same kind of opportunity.
A WWE tryout doesn’t guarantee anybody a contract, but getting invited puts these wrestlers directly in front of the people who could change their careers. With WWE already traveling through South America and scouting talent in Santiago, there could be some unfamiliar names on this list who become very familiar to WWE fans down the road.
