WWE hasn’t announced the men’s WarGames match for Survivor Series just yet, but after what happened on Raw, it looks like Roman Reigns and The Bloodline are headed for a major showdown with The 946.

The November 2 episode of WWE Raw ended with The 946 destroying The Bloodline in a massive brawl. Roman Reigns came out to help Solo Sikoa after his match with Royce Keys fell apart, but things took a turn when Cruz Montana made his main roster debut and joined the attack.

Montana’s arrival gave The 946 another member, and the group wasted no time making a statement. Jey Uso was put through a table, Jimmy Uso was handcuffed to the ropes, and Reigns took a beating before Sami Zayn showed up and finished him off with a running boot.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the closing angle and suggested that WWE has essentially set up its men’s WarGames match for Survivor Series on November 28.

“So we now know. We now know the match. It’s going to be the Usos and solo and Roman and Jacob against Cruz Montana, Carmelo Hayes, Bronco Nimo, Lucian Price and Royce Keys. We got our. We got our war games.”

If that’s the direction WWE takes, The Bloodline would face The 946 in a five-on-five WarGames match. While nothing has been confirmed, the storyline has been building toward a major confrontation between the two groups, and Montana’s arrival makes that possibility even stronger. Meltzer also explained why WWE decided to bring Montana up from NXT as a heel, despite his previous babyface presentation.

“They had a spot open, and he was a good guy for the spot, and that spot required being a heel. They didn’t have a baby face spot open, open at the top.”

The move puts Montana straight into one of WWE’s biggest storylines, with The 946 now positioned for a potential showdown against Reigns and his family inside WarGames.

WWE still has a few weeks before Survivor Series, and plans could always change. But after Raw’s closing angle, The Bloodline against The 946 looks like the most likely direction for the men’s WarGames match. Now it’s just a matter of whether WWE makes it happen.

Do you think The Bloodline vs. The 946 is the right men’s WarGames match for Survivor Series, or would you rather see WWE go in another direction? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
