WWE is bringing SummerSlam back to Indianapolis in 2029. The company’s biggest party of the summer is expected to land in the city as part of a major event agreement that has been in place for years.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select was told by a source with direct knowledge that Indianapolis will host SummerSlam 2029.
The deal traces back to June 2024, when WWE and the Indiana Sports Corporation finalized an agreement covering several premium live events. A future SummerSlam was included in that package, and 2029 is now expected to be the year Indianapolis gets the event.
Indianapolis has already become an important city for WWE. The inaugural WrestlePalooza event also took place there in 2025, giving the company another major event in the market before SummerSlam arrives.
WWE has not officially announced the venue or exact date for SummerSlam 2029, but Indianapolis is now lined up to host one of the company’s biggest shows of the year. Indianapolis continues to become a major stop on WWE’s event calendar, and SummerSlam 2029 would give the city another massive weekend of wrestling.
