Alba Fyre may already have her first post-WWE move lined up, and it looks like Kay Lee Ray could be coming back sooner than expected.
Pro Wrestling EVE took to Twitter and began teasing a mystery opponent for Molly Spartan at its History Makers / Rule Breakers event on Friday, June 5, in London. The promotion did not name Fyre directly, but the clues are hard to miss. EVE promoted the match by describing the mystery wrestler as a former WWE Tag Team Champion, former EVE Champion, and a dangerous competitor.
“Molly Spartan has thrown out the challenge to someone for Friday June 5th, but is being ever so slightly vague with regards to this woman who she hopes will meet her in the middle of the ring at EVE 150 in London on Friday June 5th. All we know is this firey competitor is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, a former EVE Champion, and an absolute KiLleR in the ring. We’ll find out the answer to this mystery this coming Friday June 5 at EVE 150!”
That tease comes just after Fyre’s WWE release, which was confirmed alongside Nikki Cross and Zoey Stark as part of the company’s latest roster cuts. Rather than posting a standard goodbye, Fyre immediately pointed back to her old identity with a message that got fans talking: “Kay Lee Ray would batter Alba Fyre… Just saying….”
That line hit hard because Kay Lee Ray was the name she used before WWE rebranded her as Alba Fyre. Under that identity, she became one of NXT UK’s most dominant stars and held the NXT UK Women’s Championship for over a year.
Now, Pro Wrestling EVE’s tease strongly suggests that her return to the UK independent scene may be happening fast. The reference to a former EVE Champion and the “KiLleR” wording only adds to speculation that Kay Lee Ray is the mystery name waiting for Molly Spartan.
If this is Fyre’s next move, it would mark a quick return to the roots that made her one of the most respected names in women’s wrestling before WWE. She may be done with the Alba Fyre chapter, but Kay Lee Ray already looks ready to step back into the limelight.
