There’s now another twist in WWE’s Crown Jewel venue situation, as it appears even people working at WWE headquarters weren’t informed about the change before it was announced publicly.
According to Fightful Select on October 28, 2026, sources working on-site in Saudi Arabia expect Crown Jewel to remain in Riyadh despite the venue change. However, the bigger surprise is how WWE employees apparently found out about the decision.
WWE headquarters said they first learned about Crown Jewel being moved when Riyadh Season posted the announcement on Twitter. That means at least some people inside WWE were finding out about the venue change at the same time as fans, despite Crown Jewel being just ten days away.
Riyadh Season has already confirmed that existing tickets will be refunded and that new tickets will go on sale within 48 hours. However, the new venue still hasn’t been announced, and there’s no official explanation for why the move was necessary.
With the November 7 event getting closer, WWE now has to deal with a venue change that apparently caught some of its own staff by surprise.
