The October 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will build towards the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. That’s exactly why WWE has put together a solid lineup to keep fans entertained from start to finish.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams

Sami Zayn keeps trying to prove Roman Reigns wrong, but he’s making things pretty difficult for himself in the process. Reigns questioned whether Zayn would even make it to Crown Jewel with the Undisputed WWE Championship still around his waist. Instead of playing things safe before their Champion vs. Champion match, Zayn has started taking on anybody willing to come after him.

That nearly cost him on Raw. Zayn accepted an impromptu challenge from Je’Von Evans and barely escaped with his championship. He then demanded that the WWE Universe and the locker room finally “acknowledge” him.

Now Trick Williams gets his opportunity. Trick has been looking for a way back into the championship picture, and beating Zayn would do a lot more than that. It would completely change WWE’s Crown Jewel plans with only days remaining before the show. Zayn wanted everyone to acknowledge him. Surviving Trick tonight would certainly help.

WWE Women’s Championship: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nikki Bella

Chelsea Green has another title defense before she can worry about Liv Morgan. Green has already successfully defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez, keeping her Champion vs. Champion match against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel intact.

Now Nikki Bella gets her chance. Nikki hasn’t exactly been impressed with the champion and has repeatedly dismissed Green as a “bootleg Nikki Bella.” Tonight she gets the opportunity to do something about it by taking Green’s championship herself.

Green has been proving that her title reign isn’t just talk, but Nikki is easily one of the biggest names she’s had to defend against. There’s also a lot more at stake than just the title. Whoever leaves SmackDown as WWE Women’s Champion is the woman heading to Crown Jewel to face Liv Morgan.

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Ricky Saints

Ricky Saints has been chasing Rey Fenix and the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship for a while. Tonight he gets another chance to finally take it. Saints already proved he can beat Fenix when he pinned the champion during multi-man action a few weeks ago. He also came close to taking the championship the last time they met one-on-one.

The problem was how he tried to do it. Saints resorted to dirty tactics during that title match and got himself disqualified by referee Charles Robinson, allowing Fenix to leave with the championship.

That means Saints has already wasted one opportunity through his own actions. Fenix has continued rolling as champion, but Saints has become increasingly desperate to take the title. If he can keep that desperation from getting him disqualified again, he might finally have the opening he’s been looking for.

Danhausen Presents “Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown”

This isn’t going to be a normal episode of SmackDown. Danhausen is presenting the Halloween-themed “Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown,” and WWE is promising an unpredictable night built around him.

There’s also the small matter of Gunther. Danhausen and Gunther have developed their own strange little issue recently, which means there’s a pretty good chance The Ring General won’t be able to completely avoid whatever Danhausen has planned for his special episode. Exactly what those plans are hasn’t been revealed, and with Danhausen running the Halloween show, that’s probably the point.
